The Association Tool v. 1.0.0.18 (TAT Beta 18)

 

To install TAT on Windows

 

Š      Download TAT Installer.exe. Double click its icon to run it.

Š      If an alert appears saying “COM surrogate has stopped working,” click “Close the Program” in the alert box.

 

Š      After you click Finished in the installer, TAT will launch. The first thing to do the first time you launch it is to open the Help menu, choose
The Association Tool Help and open the file TAT Read Me.

 

What is installed on Windows

 

Š      The Association Tool.exe, Externals, Uninstall.exe and Installer Log.txt are installed in folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\The Association Tool”.

Š      Folder “IE21” is installed in “\AppData\Local” or “\AppData”. IE21 contains help files and a sampling of standards documents. The easiest way to see these files is to launch The Association Tool and choose The Association Tool Help and ASN Standards for TAT from the Help menu.

 

To launch TAT on Windows

 

Š      In Program Files (x86) or the Start menu’s All Programs list, locate The Association Tool folder, and within it, The Association Tool.exe. Double-click the exe.

 

Š      Note: To locate TAT more quickly, pin it to the Start Menu, pin it to the Task Bar and/or create a shortcut on your desktop.

 

To remove TAT from Windows

 

Š      From the Start Menu, choose All Programs, then The Association Tool. In that folder will be “Uninstall”. Run that.

Š      If an alert appears saying “COM surrogate has stopped working,” click “Close the Program” in the alert box.

 

Š      To delete the help and standards files: In Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), locate folder “\AppData\Local\IE21” or “\AppData\IE21”. Right-click IE21 and choose Delete.
